Meet The People that make ArtsCetera So Special!

Nanette De Cillis Director/Teacher   Nanette enjoyed a 15 year career as a professional dancer, choreographer and producer in the New York City arts community. With Manhattan Performing Ensemble , the company she co-founded/directed from 1982 to 1989, she produced and performed in events at venues from La Mama and P.S. 122 to Alice Tully Hall/Lincoln Center and The Town Hall. Nanette has taught children of all ages, directed a free after-school performing arts program on the Lower East Side, and spent several summers as a guest teacher at a children’s professional theatre camp. The birth of her son in 1991 inspired her to bring together her interests and launch Brooklyn’s first Music Together program in 1993. In 1998 she established ArtsCetera, as a center for arts and arts-related activities for adults, children and families. Nanette enjoys being active in the greater Brooklyn community through associations with various arts and civic groups.

A longtime babysitter, Liz is certified in CPR, and in recent years has had experience as a full-time nanny as well as an early-childhood development educator.

Bert Eisenstadt has enjoyed careers as both a musician and professional dancer, most notably as a featured dancer with the Sandra Cameron Dance Company. He delights his ArtsCetera classes with his fluency on guitar, flute, saxophone, and drums. Bert also holds a “day job” as Assistant Director of the Writing Center at LaGuardia College.

Sharon is currently writing a cartoon strip for an internet website; however nothing compares to the inspiration and joy she has received for the past 8 years from teaching toddlers and preschoolers in Brooklyn.

Morgan Taylor not only composes and sings many of the songs on the ArtsCetera collections but also produces them, playing all the instruments. In addition, Morgan has done the definitive drawings of both Arfie and Pawla, artwork which will be seen more and more as the collections are released. When not dealing with dogs, Morgan works with Gustafer Yellowgold www.gustaferyellowgold.com, a friendly, yellow, pointy-headed Morgan creation, Gustafer immigrated to Earth from the sun and is making his new life among us. We think Arfie and Gustafer are probably good friends because of their “common heritage”. In addition to great stuff for kids, Morgan co-owns his own production company (Apple-Eye Productions) with his multi-talented wife, Rachel. He has played bass with Autumn Defense (with members of Wilco) and sung with Joseph Arthur. He's released several CD's of “big people's music”, including a 70-song box set “Box of Monster”.
